PestLynx (pestlynx.com) is field-service software for pest control companies: scheduling, service records, chemical logs, service reports, invoices and payments. These Terms & Conditions cover the pest control companies that use PestLynx (“Companies”) and the people they serve, who receive service reports, invoices and messages through PestLynx.

Accounts and the free trial

A Company can sign up for a free 14-day trial. No credit card is needed and nobody is charged during the trial. When the trial ends, the account becomes read-only — the Company can still sign in, view and export everything — until it chooses a plan. We do not delete a Company’s data because a trial ended.

Each person signs in with their own email and password and must keep that password private. The Company is responsible for who it gives access to and for everything done under its accounts. We may lock an account for a short time after repeated wrong passwords, to protect it.

Each Company’s responsibilities

Each pest control company is responsible for its own customers’ information — the names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, service history and payment details it puts into PestLynx — and for how it uses that information. PestLynx stores and processes it on the Company’s behalf, keeps each Company’s data separate, and never shows one Company’s data to another.

Each Company is responsible for getting its customers’ consent before texting them, for recording that consent, and for honoring opt-outs. PestLynx adds “Reply STOP to opt out” to every text and stops texting anyone who replies STOP. Each Company must also follow the laws that apply to it, including telemarketing and texting rules (such as the TCPA), email rules (such as CAN-SPAM), and pest control and inspection rules in its state (in Florida, those of FDACS).

Each Company is responsible for the accuracy of its service records, chemical logs, inspection reports and invoices, even when PestLynx helps fill them in.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe. PestLynx never stores full card numbers. Pricing for PestLynx itself will be shown before any Company is asked to pay; nobody is charged without agreeing to a plan first.

Acceptable use

Don’t use PestLynx to send spam or unlawful messages, to store information you have no right to, or to try to reach another Company’s data or interfere with the service. We may suspend an account that does.

SMS Terms

PestLynx is software that lets each pest control company that uses it send service text messages to its own customers, and only to customers who have given their consent.

Consent to receive SMS text messages is completely optional and is NOT required as a condition of receiving pest control services, creating an account, or completing any transaction. You may receive full service without agreeing to SMS communications.

If you voluntarily choose to opt in to SMS communications, you may receive appointment reminders, technician on-the-way notifications, service completion summaries, and invoice/payment links.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your service schedule.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Mobile information and messaging consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell or share SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

The service

We work to keep PestLynx running and your data safe, and we improve it over time, but it is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, PestLynx is not liable for indirect or lost-profit damages. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.
