Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 26, 2026

PestLynx (pestlynx.com) is field-service software used by pest control companies. This Privacy Policy explains what information PestLynx handles, why, and how it is protected.

We do not sell personal information. We do not sell or share SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Two kinds of information

Company accounts. When a pest control company signs up, we collect the company’s name, state and contact details, and each team member’s name, email and password (stored only as a secure one-way hash, never readable). We keep a record of sign-in attempts to protect accounts, and where a signup came from (for example, an ad link).

Each company’s customers. Pest control companies put their own customers’ information into PestLynx: names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, property details, service history, visit photos, signatures (for example, a customer signing an agreement or estimate on screen), invoices and payments. Each pest control company is responsible for its own customers’ data and for having permission to use it, including texting consent. PestLynx stores and processes it only to provide the service to that company. If you are a customer of a pest control company, please contact that company about your information; it can correct or delete it.

How information is used

To run the service: scheduling, service records, sending a company’s service reports, invoices and optional texts to its customers, and processing payments. To keep accounts secure: confirming email addresses, password reset links, and locking an account for a short time after repeated wrong passwords. To email company owners about their own account (for example, trial reminders). To find and fix errors: error reports have passwords, card numbers, sign-in links and customer emails and phone numbers removed before they are sent.

Companies we rely on

PestLynx uses trusted service providers to operate: hosting (Vercel), database (Neon), email (Resend), text messages (Twilio), card payments (Stripe — PestLynx never stores full card numbers), maps and drive times (Google), and error monitoring (Sentry). They handle information only to provide their service to PestLynx.

SMS Communications

PestLynx is software that lets each pest control company that uses it send service text messages to its own customers, and only to customers who have given their consent.

Consent to receive SMS text messages is completely optional and is NOT required to receive pest control services. You may receive full service without agreeing to text message communications.

If you choose to opt in, you will receive service-related texts including appointment reminders, technician on-the-way notifications, service summaries, and payment links.

Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help.

Mobile information and messaging consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

See Text message consent for how you opt in and what messages you receive.

Keeping information safe

Each company’s data is kept separate from every other company’s. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, sign-in and password reset links work once and expire, and connections are encrypted (HTTPS).

The PestLynx phone app

The PestLynx app for iPhone and Android shows the same service as pestlynx.com. It uses the phone’s location only while the app is open, when a team member clocks in or out, starts or stops a service, taps On My Way (to estimate the arrival time) or optimizes the day’s route (never in the background); the camera only when a team member takes a visit photo; the screen for signatures drawn with a finger (a technician signing a report, or a customer signing on the technician’s phone); and, if a team member allows notifications, a device token so the company can notify them. This information is linked to the team member’s account and used only to run the service. The app does not track anyone across other apps or websites and contains no advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep a company’s information while its account is open. A trial ending does not delete anything. A company owner can ask us to delete the account and its data at any time.

Deleting your account

Anyone can delete their own login, and a company’s Owner can delete the whole company account, from inside PestLynx (on the website or in the app): My account → Delete account. You type your email (or the company name) to confirm. Nothing is deleted for 7 days, and you can cancel during that time; after that the deletion is carried out automatically.

Deleting a company account removes the company’s customers, properties, agreements, visits, invoices, reports, photos, documents and every team login, and ends its PestLynx plan. Deleting your own login means you can no longer sign in, and removes your email, phone number, home address, photo and sign-in history; your name stays on the company’s service reports, pesticide application records, inspection reports and time cards, which the company is required by law to keep.

What we keep after a deletion: a record that the deletion was requested and carried out (who asked, when, and which company — no customer data); PestLynx’s own invoices for the company’s plan, kept by our payment processor (Stripe) for tax and accounting records; and card payments the company’s customers made, which belong to the company’s own Stripe account. Routine database backups at our hosting provider expire on their own schedule. You can also email us to ask for a deletion (see below).

Can’t sign in? How to delete your account explains how to ask for a deletion by email, in English and Spanish.
